The real reason I’m writing though is I’m really liking how you’ve got this blog thing set up allowing pictures with text. I’d like to do this same sort of thing for my next trip so my wife/family/friends can follow along. How do I get started to do one of my own? I’m fairly computer literate – not necessarily computer savy. Can you point me in the right direction? I should be able to take it from there and run with it. Thanks.

I have to now admit that this is my first blog attempt. Like you, I’m doing it so my family and friends can follow our trip. I’m using WordPress, I just set up a free account and followed their quickstart instructions. It’s very easy.
You can preview everything before you publish and you can edit too. Inserting saved pictures is very easy too. My advice would be to set up an account and play with it. Hope this helps, good luck and let me know if you have more questions.
